General Planning Tips

Number 1- Use professional vendors and listen to their recommendations.
Never assume anything!
Pay attention to details, details, details- leave nothing to chance. 
 
Decide on a budget and communicate to vendors so they can provide  reasonable recommendations.
Create a timeline to finalize all of your reservations.
Ask questions:

             -are deposits required to secure reservations.

             -are deposits refundable and if so based on what criteria.

             -who is responsible for set up and breakdown. (if  required)

             -are their any cleaning requirements.

Ensure that all vendors are familiar with the event venue and that all equipment you are using is compatible with the venue.
Communicate- make sure your vendors know what you are looking for.
          
Read the fine print and make sure you understand contract terms.
Create a timeline to coordinate all deliveries and pickups for the event.
Consider event insurance.
